Chef Owen
For me, food has always been more than just something to eat—it’s a story of home, love, and heritage. I was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, where the island's rhythm shaped not only my life but also my cooking.
My journey as a chef began in my grandmother’s kitchen, where the aroma of sizzling spices and simmering stews told stories long before I ever could. From perfectly seasoned jerk to rich, flavorful curries, those family recipes became the foundation of my passion. Now, I bring the bold, vibrant flavors of Jamaica into every dish I create—always cooked with care, always done just right..

As Vice President of Just Right Jerk Africa, I wear many hats, leader, strategist, organizer, and most importantly, partner. I take immense pride in helping our business grow and thrive, working behind the scenes to ensure every event runs seamlessly and every client experience exceeds expectations.
But beyond operations and logistics, my greatest passion lies in supporting my husband, Chef Owen, the heart of our kitchen and the creative force behind every dish we serve. His talent as a chef inspires me daily, and I’m deeply committed to creating the structure and support that allows his culinary vision to shine.
Together, we’ve built more than a business; we’ve built a shared dream, driven by love, dedication, and a genuine joy in serving others through Jamaican Cuisine

As the Executive Director of Marketing and Sales for Just Right Jerk Africa, I bring a deep passion for food and a creative spirit to connecting people through shared culinary experiences. While my professional background is rooted in Human Resources and Talent Acquisition, my innate love of bringing people together and supporting their growth seamlessly transferred to this new venture.
Driven by a strong desire to see our family succeed and to create lasting memories for future generations, I am committed to showcasing the vibrant flavors of Jamaica and building meaningful connections with the Kenyan community. Every day, I strive to infuse innovation and genuine passion into our brand, sharing our family’s culinary heritage with enthusiasm and dedication.

Chef Owen is my dad. Growing up with Jamaican parents in the U.S. meant a home full of rich culture that sometimes blended with American influences. But one thing that never changed was our connection to the island through food. I’ve always been proud to say my dad is a chef, and now I’m even more excited that he’s bringing his talents to Africa!
As the American stateside Creative Director, I manage the social media and website for the business. One day, I hope to join the team in Nairobi and be part of the process firsthand!
